  • MRI grant funded

    Huge thanks to the NSF MRI program, which has funded a new NMR spectrometer for the department. This instrument will bring several new capabilities, including an autosampler (for greatly increased throughput of teaching and research samples), advanced 19F capabilities, and a flow accessory.

    Welcome to Kate Bradford, who as joined the group as a graduate student! Kate is a member of both our group and the Konkolewicz group.

    The group is attending the 2019 Gordon Research Conference in Physical Organic Chemistry in Holderness, NH.

    Huge thanks to the Macromolecular, Supramolecular and Nanochemistry program of the Division of Chemistry at the NSF for funding our project on “Dynamic control and self-assembly of ortho-phenylene foldamers“!


  • New paper in J. Chem. Educ.

    Our latest paper is out in J. Chem. Educ.! In collaboration with the Yezierski group, we have developed an undergraduate teaching lab on the self-assembly of macrocycles under thermodynamic control. The lab combined elements of experimental and computational chemistry to probe the importance of strain in these systems.
