Our latest paper is out in J. Phys. Chem. B! This work, a collaboration with the Kumar group (Kent State, Physics), describes new sanidic liquid crystal phases for a series of dibenzonaphthacenes we prepared.

Our latest paper is out in J. Chem. Educ.! A collaboration with the Bretz group, it describes a sophomore organic lab activity that uses cholesteric liquid crystals to macroscopically distinguish enantiomers. It’s a lot of fun and doesn’t need any specialized equipment.
